This is the GitHub repository with the code for DNA\/ID:
A model that seems appropriate is that of Discourse, the software used in this very forum. It can be hosted, or installed on private servers (as it is here).
I ️ this model because:
* It is possible for anyone outside DNA\/ID to create their own, private, DNA community. They can be in charge of their data security and shape the software to suit any specific needs they may have
* It creates incentives for developers to contribute to a truly public resource outside of the control of a corporation
Discourse is licensed under GPL. However for us, it may be good to use an MIT license? The difference is that MIT license allows modification to not be open-sourced. Need input.
I have no experience managing an open source project. So, needed: help/expertise/input in organizing open source development.
