I've done some initial wireframing, and would appreciate feedback now.
The initial focus is on convincing family members to share their DNA information with me. The more we share DNA the more valuable this is. In my case, I share 50% DNA with 7 people. I share 25% DNA with 12 more people.
If those 19 people share their info with me and get their DNA, I'll have a big chunk of what defines me within my family in terms of DNA.
This represents original thinking as far as I know, see blog post.
There is also a form to invite them.
These are the most important concerns I have gathered from interviews. Please help if you would like more options.
This is straightforward.
Working on a public profile that summarises the info provided through the view above.
I looks like Stream could work for the rough requirements outlined here:
We need different "circles" to share messages, eg, 1/ Nuclear family, 2/ extended family.
They can individually or in groups participate 1/ in research studies, or 2/ interact with doctors.
- discussions within my family
- discussions with doctors and researchers which are ad hoc
- Following research studies for updates
- Getting questions pushed back from doctors or researchers
Privacy is the default, with opening up circles through requests.
Note: We should embed these discussions on the app itself. I am looking at technical feasibility and will update. Note that in case it is possible, we'll have to split this topic into as many topics as there are views.
